Roastline reads the live telemetry from your roaster and does four things no human can do in real time: project where the curve is going, predict how the cup will taste, flag defects before the drop, and adapt to your palate over time.

Live curve projection

Roastline draws a forward projection on every live curve — where BT and RoR are heading if you hold your current settings. You see the stall coming two minutes before it lands, and can nudge the gas while there's still time.

Pre-drop cup prediction

Before the drop, Roastline reads the profile and predicts the SCA cupping score, acidity, body, sweetness, and balance — and shows you a likely flavour note set. Change the drop time and the prediction updates.

Defect detection

The same engine flags three roast defects in real time: baked (over-extended development), underdeveloped (too short), and scorched (charge too hot). Flagged while you can still act, not after cupping.

Plain-language phase guidance

Through every phase — Drying, Maillard, Development — Roastline outputs a specific instruction in plain English. Not a raw number: a move. "Ramp burner to 95% at 7:30 to hold RoR into first crack."

Learns from your cups

Quality-weighted model updates

Every cupping score you log updates the prediction model — but your best-scoring cups carry more weight. The model learns what "excellent" means at your roastery, not at a statistical average.

Post-roast AI report

After every batch: a plain-language walk-through of each phase — what worked, what sagged, and the exact adjustment for next time. Saved to your roast record so nothing is lost between sessions.

Faster dialling-in

With a predicted cup score updating as you roast, you can decide whether to push toward second crack or drop early without pulling a sample. Roasters using Roastline report dialling in new lots in two or three batches rather than six to eight.

Where the AI runs

On-prem or cloud — your choice, every time.

Most coffee roasting software with AI features routes data through a cloud server. Roastline's AI engine can run entirely on the roastery floor: no internet required mid-roast, no latency spike if the connection drops, and your roast profiles and cupping data never leave your building.

Switch to cloud inference when you want it — useful for running a heavier model without dedicated local hardware. The AI output is the same either way; only where it computes changes.
