Your roasts are yours. This explains what we collect, what we don't, and the controls you have.
Roastline ("we", "us") builds an AI copilot for coffee roasting. We designed the product to keep your roasting data under your control — including the option to run the AI entirely on your own hardware. This policy describes how we handle personal and roast data when you use our website, desktop agent, and cloud services.
Local-first by design. In local mode, your telemetry and AI inference stay on your roastery floor and are never transmitted to us.
We aim to collect the minimum needed to run the service:
Roast telemetry (BT, ET, RoR), profiles, and cupping scores are yours. When you use cloud sync or cloud AI, this data is processed to deliver guidance, predictions, and reports. We do not sell it, and we do not use an individual roastery's data to train models for other customers without explicit, opt-in consent.
If you run Roastline with a local model, the prescriptive engine operates on your premises. In this mode roast telemetry and inference do not leave your network. Optional cloud features (history backup, multi-site sharing) transmit only the data required for that feature, and only when you turn them on.
We share data only with service providers who help us operate (e.g. hosting, payments), under contracts that limit their use, or where required by law. We never sell personal or roast data.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can export your roast history at any time and request account deletion. We honor verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
