Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Roastline when you use our website, agent, and services.

1 · Acceptance

By creating an account or using Roastline, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the service on behalf of a roastery or company, you represent that you're authorized to bind that organization.

2 · The service

Roastline provides software that connects to roasting equipment to offer real-time guidance, cup prediction, autopilot, and post-roast analysis. Features, supported devices, and availability may change as we improve the product.

3 · Accounts

You're responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

4 · Plans & billing

  • The Free tier is offered at no charge and may have usage limits.
  • Paid plans bill in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.
  • Founding-roaster rates, where offered, remain in effect while the subscription stays active.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel anytime and retain access through the paid period.

5 · Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service. In particular, do not: reverse engineer or resell it except as permitted; interfere with its operation or security; use it unlawfully; or attempt to access data that isn't yours.

6 · Roasting & safety

You stay in control. Roastline is a copilot, not a replacement for a trained operator. You are responsible for safely operating your equipment, supervising autopilot, and complying with manufacturer instructions and local regulations.

Roasting involves heat, moving parts, and fire risk. Never leave equipment unattended in a manner inconsistent with its manufacturer's guidance, and maintain appropriate safety measures regardless of any guidance the service provides.

7 · Intellectual property

We own the Roastline software and brand. You own your roast data, profiles, and cupping scores. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service for you (for example, to sync and process data you choose to send to the cloud).

8 · Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." Predictions and guidance are estimates and may be inaccurate. We don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular roast or cup outcome.

9 · Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roastline is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost coffee, profits, or data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
